Certified for Windows Vista Logo
Meet the Highest Standards
The Certified for Windows Vista logo indicates that an application delivers a superior experience on the Windows Vista operating system. By certifying your application, you can show potential customers that it meets the highest standards of compatibility, reliability, security, and performance.
1. Get Windows Vista
If you are an MSDN subscriber, find out how you can download the latest versions of the Windows Vista operating system. If you are a Microsoft Gold or Certified Partner or a member of the Empower initiative, you will have full MSDN membership.

4. Pretest
Use the Certified for Windows Vista test cases to test your product, just as the certifying authority would, and make any necessary adjustments before moving to the submission process. 5. Apply for Testing Waivers
The Certified for Windows Vista test cases include guidance on applying for certain waivers. Waivers are granted for Test Cases 1, 10, 12, 18, 20, 25, and 30. If you determine that a waiver is relevant, you can fill out the Certified for Windows Vista Waiver Application and submit it to Microsoft for approval.
